Neurotech International Ltd (ASX:NTI) executive director Wolfgang Storf speaks to Proactive Investors about the technology company’s innovative Mente Autism product, which assists with the management of children with autism spectrum disorder.
“Mente Autism is a neuro-feedback device to relax the mind of people and children with autism. It is very important to understand that [for] ASD there is no cure, but the symptoms can be managed and that is actually what our device is doing,” Storf says.
Initially with around 200 users, Neurotech took its technology to the US and has seen in clinical trials statistically relevant improvements in study participants, displaying improved behaviour, communication, and a clear reduction in excessive brain wave activity.
Storf continues, “What’s very typical for autistic children is that they have an excessive delta wave and beta wave, and for this reason it’s important to reduce that excessive brain wave activity. That was reached [in the trials] and we are very, very excited about that.”
From the interview, looks like sales has started last week in Australia through Medilink, and we have started the process of getting into the reimbursement list in Australia through NDIA last month.
