As you havn't visited our little TT place in a while I thought you might not be aware that the original turtle trading rules have now been published for free by an original turtle (Curtis Faith), seemingly with some form of blessing from the other turtles. I thought you might be interested to compare it with what you have from Sands.
There is also an exceptionally high quality (heavily moderated) forum discussing Turtle Trading and Mechanical Systems in general at http://turtletradingsoftware.com/forum It provides a rare opportunity to actually interract with an original turtle (Curtis Faith) as well as a lot of very knowledgeable (to me) mechanical traders.
