Was just reading the latest from the 3 Gorges Yangtze River Environment Group, and they certainly highlight how political things are with following Xi Jingping's message, who basically forced them as an SoE to start playing a role in the protection of the Yangtze River and help fulfill his environmental objectives. Must be the same story with other large SoEs.

Too many resources, too much political support at the highest levels. This approach has been paying off for Fluence, as there have been some good wins recently. It is also what I was discussing with @ywtoh when I said that it was good that Fluence were able to raise some funds before some of these negotiations, as some of these SoEs can also be predatory in trying to buy up strategically valuable IP from financially desperate partners.

In Jiangsu, Fluence are well supported by the Wujin government and the Israeli relationship with China is strongest in Jiangsu province as that was the site of the first Israeli business park in China. Recently Fluence had a visit from the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The partnership between China and Israel is also expanding with more provincial Israeli parks opening up around China. Fluence may be able to leverage off these resources in the future.
