    The primary issue with Hyflux was that it took on debt and diworsified into power generation. Also corporate governance was lacking. Essentially the Board failed to scrutinise the Chairman and CEO’s (which was the same person, red flag) decisions. Google “why Hyflux failed” and you will have more case studies.
