Cant help but think of the difference between Australia and China in this space. Australia does a 12 month review again etc and China gets on with it.

It is the latest in a long string of reviews, inquiries and royal commissions of water policy, which have tended to focus on over-extraction of water from the Murray-Darling Basin. This triennial inquiry, a statutory requirement set out in the 2007 Water Act, will look beyond the Murray-Darling Basin to every aspect of national water policy.In a joint statement, Treasurer Josh Frydenberg and Minister for Resources, Water and Northern Australia Keith Pitt said: "The Commission will assess whether the water reforms agreed in the National Water Initiative, along with any other subsequent reforms adopted by COAG, are achieving their intended outcomes."
