HENAN SEEKS INTEREST IN USD 72M WASTEWATER PPP
Xi county in central China’s Henan province yesterday launched a prequalification for a CNY 499m (USD 72m) rural wastewater PPP project.
The project is open to both domestic and foreign investors, according to the tender notice.The build-operate-transfer project will involve the construction of 16 wastewater treatment facilities in 16 villages and towns administered by Xi county in Xinyang city, with a combined daily capacity of 1,100 tonnes, as well as 251km of pipelines.
The construction and concession periods are a total 25 years. The project will profit from government payments.To implement the PPP, special project vehicle will be jointly established by the government funding representative and the private investor, holding 5% and 95%, respectively.
The project capital will account for 20% of the total investment and the remaining will be raised through bank loans.
Consortia can have a maximum of three members. Applications must be submitted by 15 September.
