Just speculation here. I am not sure if it is 12 engineering positions or 1 position advertised 12 times. Lets assume it is 12 positions, rmb15k to rmb 25k a month plus benefits, this would add about A$600k to our overheads. There must be something bigger to justify.
My guess is the Aspiral Micro. Small but large scale deployment. After the pilot project in October, which I believe the results are good, the next stage would be a much larger field deployment for testing. The job scope here includes responsible for sample analysis, testing and data analysis during testing, that could point towards hundreds of Micros in this next stage.
A Micro treats 5 cubic meter of waste water a day which id suitable for 8 to 10 households. If this goes well, the implementation could go into thousands of units for the rural villages a year. Assuming a 8-10 year lifespan of the units without any requirements for maintenance, that would also indicates to me a 10 year cycle of recurring sales for these units (assuming no new tech to replace Micro).
