    Thanks for the link.

This is something closer to home (Water Corp with Suez):

"Maximizing Asset Capacity And Performance Via Process Intensification Using MABR Technology by Water Corporation Wayne Bagg"

"selection of the MABR process over competing technologies for retrofitting at the Beenyup and Subiaco water resource recovery (WRR) plants in Western Australia (Bagg, Water Corporation)"

The pilot projects at Subiaco and Beenyup were mooted in 2017/2018 and for a 2 year trial.

"Following extensive investigation Water Corporation has identified Membrane Aerated Biofilm Reactor (MABR) as the preferred technology to increase secondary treatment capacity at Subiaco Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF), a large Perth Metro facility. When retrofitted into existing process volume, the innovative technology has the potential to intensify secondary treatment capability, reduce process aeration demand and greenhouse gas emissions. Started in July 2020, a two-year pilot trial is testing MABR suitability and will confirm location-specific system design requirements. The trial is the first of its kind in Australia and is supported by local and international experts." Isabel Silveira, Water Corporation, Perth, Australia (December 2020)

"A hybrid MABR pilot plant with treatment capacity of 630 m3/d has been installed at Subiaco WRRF. The main objective of the trial is to establish key full-scale design parameters for Nitrification Rate (gN/m2.d), Oxygen Transfer Rate (gO2/m2.d) and Oxygen Transfer Efficiency (kgO2/kWh). This project is a 2-year trial and this paper presents the results of eight months of operation." Wayne Bagg at Conference: OZWater'21 (May 2021)

I guess timing and size was not in our favour in 2017. The pilot plant here also seemed to take a lot longer to build compared to PS1 and PS2 at Sihanoukville in Cambodia. What's more, the treatment size at Subiaco is 630 m3/d, about a tenth the size of PS1.

SUEZ is a bigger name, Water Corp here has to be seen to be conservative I guess. Taking a step on a new tech like MABR would be pretty brave, but choosing a minion like Fluence would be quite unthinkable at that time. Fast track to now, little old FLC has a longer list of MABR installations, size wise, if we are awarded PS3, we are biggest too. (A bit of male ego here )

We now have a Western Australian director, hopefully, Samantha could put in a few Tough words to Water Corp and give them an eye-opener to what we are achieving and what we can offer. Water Corp had given Hazer a project, would be nice to let another ASX listed company showcase its capabilities.
