Great to hear from you after a long break. A quick off the cuff reply and hope it is useful.

Just a brief history. There was Zeelung, Oxymem and Emefcy. Both Zeelung and Oxymem uses the straw type MABR while Emefcy uses the coil rolls. Oxymem nearly ran out of cash in 2016 and got bought over by DuPont, while Zeelung was bought by Suez, and now owned by Veolia. We became Fluence.

To my knowledge, Zeelung only do larger centralized plants and the biggest is in Waterloo Canada with about 14,000m3/d capacity. It was quickly overtaken by our PS3 in Sihanoukville within a few months with 20,000m3/d and so far we have the largest MABR plant in the world under construction. Zeelung doesn't do decentralized play.

As for Oxymem, Severn Trent is their showcase plant and often mention in their news. I think due to some IP issues, Oxymem is not allowed to sell in North America. They claimed to have many decentralized models but I have not seen many. They have tried to tackle the Chinese market, have seen a few write-ups in the Chinese media but have yet to see any operating plants in China yet.

FLC now has at least 313 plants sold/installed. The number of plants from the other 2 totalled about 30.

There may be other copycats lurking and tried, but I think the success is in the secret sauce of tuning and mixing the various types of bacteria to make the MABR work in different conditions optimally.
