China moves when Prez XJP puts out a directive on water, the central government stipulates requirements, and provincial govts align with stipulations and new technology like MABR gets bought. That takes about 5 years and FLC caught the wave with MABR,
The USA behaves like 51 countries and will never move on a central directive from Washington compared to what happens in China. But it will move when a Paul Revere (who set off the alarm, "The British are coming") in EWG shouts out PFAS is endemic and harmful to health. The warning must be adopted by the EPA, now that EPA has EWG to fall back on with a scientific basis for action. EPA then has to revise treatment standards otherwise there will be class suits. Only then the industry in USA gets off its ass.
But then again, USA moves like a brick! We are still years away from action. But it is a start.
