Just a bit of company promotion on the Chinese Weibo. Posted here for the benefit of the fellow submariners who not follow the Chinese media.

It was reported that the Prof. Ly Rasmey, who holds the Office of the Council of Ministers in Cambodia and the Ministry of Land Management, had visited PS1 and compared efficiency and effectiveness of MABR in PS1 to the 2 existing traditional WWTP. This serves as a confirmation after one and a half years of operation, MABR is more efficient, stable, energy-saving and has a smaller footprint compared to older tech.

Prof Rasmey is a trained architect and I believe he makes decisions at the higher ministerial level, not just for Sihanoukville, but other parts of the country. I hope this will enable our MABR systems to expand beyond Sihanoukville.

Currently, Phnom Penh is having a 5,000 m3/d WWTP built by the constructed by Kubota-Metawater Joint Venture from Japan funded by the Government of Japan through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) which cost $20m, on 3 hectare of surface land and completes in November 2023.

When PS3 which sits on 1 hectare land and treats 20,000 m3/d comes on stream in mid 2023, there will be quite a bit to compare.

In the longer term, we would hope our decentralized Aspiral units will be deployed to other parts of the country which encourages water reuse and also provides a better quality discharge into the water ways.
