I am very surprised and honestly disappointed with the progress in the USA. FLC got the coveted Title 22 (https://www.fluencecorp.com/california-title-22-water-reuse-standards/) in 2018. But MABR has not had any major break throuhs nor seem to large scale orders .
The problem with eutrophication at Chesapeake Bay (https://oceanbites.org/eutrophication-in-the-chesapeake-bay/) has also been well documented yet nothing has been done about rectifying it.
Compare this to securing the largest MABR plant in Cambodia, and sold 300 installations in China, the USA is showing to be a tough nut to crack.
