went down to Ozwater and caught up with Fluence and Aquatec Maxcon. quite a large convention with seminars and techical discussions as well as the floor with many suppliers and consultants.
FLC pushing hard to get first MABR installed in Aus. they explained they are in discussions with some local councils and projects and are hopeful of getting MABR some traction here. it is easy to forget that this tech is only 12-18 months old. it takes time but in saying that they have made pretty good inroads into the market.

MABR is about removing nutrients especially phosphorous and i mentioned the murray darling. they have also been looking at this. they know the tech works but they are trying to find the best applocation to showcase this. i think we may see something here in the future too.

they explained how their MABR solution differs to others and how it is far less likely to experience build up and blockages.

i also questioned mine wastewater and they explained that they are looking at it. but it is important to remember that MABR has quite specific parameters it needs the inflow to be. so for mine wastewater they first need to understand its quality, and first put it through a preliminary system, then one of the FLC systems.

i think we will start to see MABR really pick up over next 12-24 months and if they can crack into the highly regulated market of Aus, even if only small sales to start, i think it speaks volumes to the rest of the market.
