Desalination in Brazil has previously been centralised, meaning it is very expensive to get clean water to areas which need it most. For this reason it has never taken off due to the lack of affordable local technology, and the cost of import taxes making international suppliers too expensive.

De-centralisation solutions like those offered by Fluence solve this (other Isarali companies are also vying for desal business in Brazil).

The Brazilian government has really opened up to affordable desalination solutions this year, which is why Fluence are targeting the market ... and now having bragging rights for the largest desalination plant in Brazil will put our name up in lights.

Companies like IDE are most likely to be front runners for the larger desal plants the Brazilian govt wants to build (I'm sure we'll still try pitch to it), but the middle market is where we are likely to excel.
