Webinar: “Case Study of a Membrane Aerated Bioreactor”
This FREE webinar will provide an overview, case study and testing of a Membrane Aerated Bioreactor (MABR) at the Codiga Resource Recovery Center. This is not a standard Membrane Bioreactor treatment system. Rather it is a membrane aerated biofilm reactor based on a biological treatment process.
08/07/2019 (Wednesday)
From 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM
This webinar will provide an overview, case study and testing of a Membrane Aerated Bioreactor (MABR) at the Codiga Resource Recovery Center.
Fluence’s MABR demonstration plant was installed at the Codiga Resource Recovery Center (CR2C) in Stanford, California, in January 2018 for the purpose of third-party evaluation. The CR2C MABR plant was designed to meet the water quality standards specified by the State of California's Title 22 Water Recycling Criteria. Title 22 of California’s Water Recycling Criteria is among the strictest water treatment standards for water recycling and reuse in the United States.
The testing parameters for the plant included criteria to evaluate reliable enhanced nutrient removal in the form of Total Nitrogen, which is increasingly important across the United States, and difficult and costly to achieve through conventional wastewater treatment. Tests concluded that Fluence’s MABR pilot achieved average COD/BOD removal efficiencies exceeding 95%, a 92% reduction in Total Nitrogen, and a 96% reduction of ammonia. In all respects, the system met or exceeded mandated effluent treatment requirements.
Fluence’s MABR technology was introduced in 2015 after decades of R & D. Fluence offers this technology in two versatile formats: Aspiral decentralized wastewater treatment, and SUBRE, designed to retrofit existing wastewater treatment plants to increase capacity and improve effluent. MABR technology can also be planned for a greenfield installation. Fluence has installed MABR plants around the globe including Asia, the US, Israel and the Caribbean.
In addition to the case study of the CR2C MABR demonstration plant, this webinar will also provide an overview of Fluence's MABR technology.
One PDH will be awarded for attending this event.
Attendance is limited to the first 100 registrants.
Please note that multiple users can share a single registration if the webinar is to be displayed on a large format screen at your site.
