I see less changes to the MABR spiral itself in future iterations (other than capacity/efficiency/longevity). Sometimes trying to do too much with one tech reduces the original efficiency of the main tech itself.  But you have previously discussed conversations you had at SIWW regarding configurations of Aspiral containers to include other treatment types within the system.  So in a 40 foot container you can have 3 MABR spirals, then implement MBR/UV etc into the additional space.  Micro-plastics in waterways seems to be getting more and more coverage, so in future a treatment that can take out micro-plastics may be a requirement.  But that is about government standards.  Unless regulations specify that various metal, chemical or plastic levels in wastewater must be reduced, no one is going to pay extra for a system that filters these out. 

That link you have provided for heavy metal extraction tech would work well as a post-RO treatment in a Nirobox system for drinking water.

I can easily see Aspiral units working with some of these and other additional tech to filter out a specific part of wastewater for specific applications.  But then each of these units would be specifically tailored for an individual client, and not an "off the shelf" unit.
