TGA head John Skerritt said there would be no constraints on where rapid antigen tests could be sold, including online and at petrol stations.

Australians are too optimistic at times. Other countries are experiencing outbreaks, even after vaccination. This is going to continue for a while yet ( sadly ).
Can only see sales improving in the short term. Medium to long term it's too crowded, John knows that, has mentioned it, and they are going to keep moving into other areas, perhaps cancer bio markers, vitamins, there are around 40 other options for self-testing.

I downloaded the PDF instructions for one of the chinese self-tests. It was pretty ordinary, and poorly designed.
Over time, good design and minimal difference in price will win the day.
