There is no preferential treatment as whilst the testing kit is the same, the TGA review also considers the instructions for use and as such has to be considered on its own merits. This has nothing to do with AT1 anymore.

The real delay now is that we are all waiting as the TGA has engaged the Doherty Institute to conduct an external review of all approved tests and their veracity against the now numerous different strains of COVID-19. This has been published extensively in the media but also on the TGA's own www.

FYI - The TGA has only approved 5 new RATs since 1/1/22 and none since 19/1/22. Until this review is complete it unfortunately means it is a wait and see for AT1.
