I think this highlights the dominance of Sonic Healthcare , Healius etc. Big Big Conglomerates that have a monopoly in this Pathology space. This utopian mindset will work only till Aus remains closed to the world. I very much doubt Aus can go another full year without international travel given Education, Real estate and Tourism are primarily what generate revenue besides the raw materials trade. Companies like AT1 in the rdt business always position themselves for global business. At IPO, the HIV rdt was predominantly for the global markets. I see Covid tests being the same. Explains why they are still focussed on production lines outside Aus from a logistical and economical point of view.
