good article.... Thousands of nursing homes have rapid test kits stock on hand, but up to half have not used them in the last week or two. And as FinFree noted, a significant % did not use them at all.
My read was the states and aged home administrators do not trust the results. So they dont use them.
It is funny how we (and I am the same) 'trust' 100% a result that was processed the 'The Lab'. When I go to the doctor here I rebook back into the doc in one week to get my results. As our MD John said - the admin and govts and medics in charge come from the 'Lab' background. So they will not change their thinking easily. Nor should they. Dare I ask is it PROVEN the rapid tests are really as they say!
