Oddly the mutation aspects and its potential dangers were posted back in July'2e...and that article also mentioned that the Covid19 strains had jumped a few times between Denmark mink farms + humans back then?....now almost 4mths later, more drastic nationwide cull is deemed necessary + Demark implementing community restrictions.

Overall, Covid19 virus genome has been surprisingly stable (still mutates ~2-3 times per month, but not as extremely or quickly as originally thought back in Dec-Jan). Gov + health bodies have been using these genomic changes to track how the pandemic has been spreading/re-spreading. VIC used the same method many times to track back to patient zero to stop the ongoing community transmission.

And yes, vaccine dev + diagnostics testing has to keep track of these ongoing genome changes, in case the mutations can't be affected by a vaccine version OR current PCR/RDT test ranges.
