Nope, they are definitely seeking self-test approval. They were just tardy in lodging the application. If you go back and look at their quarterly announcement from Monday this will confirm this.

In regards to supermarket supplies, the big chains will end up stocking several tests. Just as they do with other product lines including milk, toilet paper, cold and flu tablets etc. They do this firstly for product offering to consumers, and secondly to mitigate against supply constraints if one of their suppliers were unable to deliver upon their contracted obligations for the supply of produce/goods on time.

I'd love to see them secure something with the supermarket chains, but I suspect this will be at an opportunity cost of higher profit margins forgone on the sale of the test to pharmacy chains. Coles and Woolies are pretty demand savage when it comes to procurement contracts!
