Mate as of 17:00 on 11/11 you are correct, A2 was ranked 3rd. No word on the final rankings yet and this is just for Tmall and just on the final day.
The whole event in theory runs from Nov 1 - Nov 11, and for most of that time they were ranked 4th. Either way, it is clear they have performed better than last year which is positive.
It is also worth noting that performance on JD matters more this year. Overall, JD is catching up with Tmall for 11/11 sales, and total GMV for JD grew by 25% vs. just 8% for Tmall. I don't have any rankings for JD though.
