If the melamine scandal with Nestles is any guide it could be a long long time before the Chinese will trust Abbots product again. Nestles infant formula was found to contain toxic levels of melamine in batches sold in China 12 years ago. Nestles is still being punished through market share and sales volumes. Thats why its a2 premium product sells just 2000 units a year in China. Now the bacteria in Abbots IF that was faulty causes meningitis and some of this product went to China. So what did Abbot do in China , told consumers to boil the mixture before feeding to their toddlers. Didn't withdraw it didn't advise not to use. Now Abbot will be as popular as a porkchop in a synagogue in China for a very long time. This of course creates very significant market opportunities both in the US and China for other suppliers like A2. Trust forget it!
