As far as I'm aware companies are still required to monitor market expectations and issue updates if their performance deviates materially from market consensus. No guidance doesn't mean blanket immunity from disclosure rules, it just requires the market and analysts to form their own view, and this is what the company is ultimately judged against anyway IMO.
