Casein protein is a complete protein source that comprises 80% of dairy milk protein. It's water-insoluble and slows gastric emptying, making it less digestible and slower to absorb than whey. There are multiple kinds of casein protein, and research shows that A2 is less inflammatory and less likely to cause GI sensitivity than A1.
