You are completely right (in a sense ) but strongly depends on your investment horizon. In the medium to long term it is the naysayers who become irrelevant and earnings become everything. You can 'destroy' the price for a day or two but if its out of kilter with where the fundamentals are going, it will correct back.
I mean I would argue that you don't even have to wait that long. Before the results announcement I said (IMO) that it usually takes a couple of weeks for the dust to settle and the games to subside. I still think that is the case and that the results set the stage for further gradual appreciation in the SP (but only for the patient).
