Berkshire Hathaway management and A2M management are entirely different.
I wouldn't put them in the same paragraph.
CSL is also a growth stock, but still pays a small 1% dividend.
Apple is also a growth stock, but still pays a small 0.5% dividend.
As you say paying 1% dividends won't attract yield investors, but it will certainly help attract those growth investors who still want a return on investment.
No yield whatsoever also knocks out anyone who wants to buy on a margin account for tax purposes.
