It hasn't been worth tracking supermarket shelf stock since 2018 - and then again briefly when they destroyed the product and changed the labels. And then, one photo of one shelf on one day at one random location didn't ever tell us much of anything anyway.
I was commenting on the inability of supermarkets to keep their shelves stocked when next door has pallets.
And it's not the only Woolworths and Coles I see that gets all stages, sells out eventually, and then takes 3 or even 4 weeks to replenish.
But this supermarket, the biggest and busiest in Melbourne, full of Chinese tourists and students, doesn't have it on shelves, which is pathetic. Right next door at the shipping agent they have pallets of the stuff. It's not in short supply.
4km down the road in the Western suburbs, the Woolworths and Coles have empty shelves. Not because it's a hot item, but because it seems they haven't received stock to fill the open shelf space.
It's not flying off the shelves faster than they can replenish because next door at Chemist Warehouse, the product is available.
My point is, they can't sell what isn't on the shelf.
