Hi, port of loading can be misleading. Goods can originate ex CHC (South Island) but fly ex AKL and therefore the customs entry reflects AKL as the port of loading. Quite common with exports going to USA & China due to the lack of airline capacity to these countries from the South Island. Same with seafreight exports. Containers being loaded in the South Island and then put on a feeder vessel to Tauranga (predominately). So the export entry shows port of loading, Tauranga and not ex South Island.
