The cost diff between Platinum and Gentle Gold is not that much considering the respective tin sizes, Platinium is 900g while Gentle Gold is 800g.
I would also suspect the Platinum would have more expensive ingredients so the gross margin between products might be marginal.
Gentle Gold would also be marketed in SE Asian countries where Platinuim was considered too expensive for the demographic.
