I'm not that familiar with Beston but they appeared to be blaming high milk farmgate prices in Australia relative to overseas, leading to higher competition from overseas imports. However, seems like their main products are cheeses. I'm not sure there's much relevance to A2M other than the fact it suggests the Australian milk supply is expensive currently. The fresh milk A2M sells in Australia is sourced from Australian farms.
A2M haven't shown much interest in producing cheese so I doubt they will be interested in buying Beston or its facilities. Apparenly Beston recently developed capacity to produce Lactoferrin, which could be of interest, but I don't know if there's anyway to separate out that part of the business for acquisition.
