Reminds me of a proverb in theme with “year of the snake” - which the 2025 babys are.
“画蛇添足” (huà shé tiān zú), literally translates to “drawing a snake and adding legs.” It means to overcomplicate or make something unnecessary, often leading to undesirable outcomes.
Why create fear or anxiety over something that doesn’t need to be feared (or exaggerate the situation)?
It only leads to confusion or harm, similar to adding unnecessary legs to a snake when it doesn’t need them.
