It is easier to say that all animals, including all prehistoric mammals that lactated would have produced A2-only milk, as the A1 mutation is a recent development in cattle domestication. This trait highlights the evolutionary consistency of mammalian milk proteins before human intervention and again why its a good argument to say that we maybe should stick with a2 only.
