A2 variety milk is already the main variant of milk sold in India due to the genetics of popular cow breeds (Gir cows I think),
At least it isn't as "novel" to them and obviously with household discretionary income being very low, they are unlikely to pay any premium for it.
I think that is the main reason there's been no interest in India.
