No you are getting slightly confused I think. Part of his remuneration is in cash and part of it is in performance rights.

For FY24 in cash he received $1.9M fixed salary and $2.2M on achieving the short term incentive. So about $4.1M he receives in cash.

The rest is in long term incentive performance rights which vest each year provided that certain performance thresholds are met. Once these vest they convert to shares which he can sell at any point if he wants. For FY24 the rights that vested were worth $2.7M.

About 1/3rd of his remuneration is in performance rights converting to shares. Since he started he has accumulated about 800k ordinary shares (performance rights that have already vested) so that's about $6.4M in stock he is currently holding and is free to sell at any time.

A2M's current market cap is about $6B which probably puts it equivalent to around #90 in the ASX100 (technically it is not readmitted into the actual ASX100 yet). For reference, the average realised pay (i.e. total remuneration) for ASX100 CEOs back in 2023 was about $5M.

I'd say what he is getting is pretty much in line with the market for a CEO of a ~$6B company IMO
