I doubt this had any affect. The Chinese government has been working on this exact issue for years. That is why companies needed to get CFDA (now SAMR) approval on each product as well as the old standard factory approval (CNCA). This was a requirement of all companies including Chinese Domestic companies. I believe the whole initiative was to improve their domestic products, at the same time restricting some of the international brands by not granting them approval- like BAL, in order to give domestic companies a fighting chance.
In short, nothing new, nothing to see here.
