The previous case with Lion was about Lion labelling their milk contains a2 protein in large letters across their cartons. You will probably all remember the case, it was settled out of court but Lion had to remove the offending labeling off all their products. This is just tit for tat, but the difference is a2 has I believe registered this trademark elsewhere (but I need to check).

Two trade mark law is a highly specialised area and very very specific law of which I am unfamiliar, but precedent might be important here.
