Yes , with T2 if you purchased a share yesterday , settlement would be Wednesday . So can sell up to close today and only need to find cash if the price falls today , if the price rises the profit is deposited in your account tomorrow.
As you say high risk , but can be rewarding , especially of you have the time to really watch the trading , I have had some success doing this with APT and NUF and obviously some hiccups as well.
