Prices for Milk powder out of NZ used to be based on Global commodity price, but as China clamped down on where its Milk Powder came from, this has changed a bit and now the Price for NZ milk powder is governed by the NZ cost. Furthermore the price for NZ A2 Milk powder is governed by the few A2 Milk producers that must pay farmers more to keep their supply.
However there will be a tipping point which I suspect A2 is monitoring closely. If the cost increase is into WH, then your friend is annoyed that she is making less profit per can......
