Professor Lewin said it could take as little as 16 weeks to develop a vaccine for human trials. The vaccine then has to undergo a larger “in-the-field study” to ensure it protects people from infection. That study is then followed by registration and production.“This process can be significantly accelerated, as was recently done in the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo,” Professor Lewin said. “These additional steps take the process to 12-18 months, which I think is a reasonable estimate.”
hmmm...given that Ebola was a man made biowarfare virus... developed In a laboratory by govt scientists and already (tested) let loose on humans “ in the field” !!!
