Below is a graph of exports to China from NZ for several years. First thing to note is the fall in exports in January 2020 IS IN FACT A SEASONAL EVENT and occurs every year. It has happened every year since 2017.
The second thing is exports of diary products to China January to February 2021 increased by 68million NZ dollars and NZ Statistics stated trade levels for diary products were "returning to the long term trend". In fact the graph shows that in six years NZ exports to China have grown from a low of just over 500MNZ to 2000m in December 2020 and 1500m in February an average monthly increase per year of 166m year over year over year.
Stats had this to say about February 2021, with 20% of the increase due to diary product increases.
So piss off all these naysayers, things are turning back to normal and NZ exports to China are still a rocketship barely into second staqe.
