Not sure how much the farms would cost but it sounds like a fair chunk of change.
It's probably not desirable to own the farms when they just want the milk and the flexibility to scale up or down how much milk as needed.
If Open Country Dairy terminates their contract, A2M could be the next customer. So maybe they can just take a stake in the sale alongside another company or capital fund, in return for first bite of the cherry when it comes to supply agreements.
This also assumes Open Country Dairy wants to terminate or scale back its supply agreement and quantities.
Organic would be a drawcard for that $70-$80 price point I agree. However I think they are much further along the product development process for the new ultra high end label already.
