LOL upgrades to pipelines from Bass Strait to NSW....and they're going to get that done in 18 months???!!!
It will take them 18 months of planning, environmental studies etc
There are only two options:
- much, much higher prices
- get drilling now!
That's it folks.
Unbelievable that the NSW government is allowing this to happen.
When prices start rising over the next 6-12 months in anticipation of the shortfall, the electorate ALL OVER NSW will not care one bit about vested interests like precious stud farm owners or viticulturists...
...they will want to know why the government hasn't taken appropriate action to shield them from this absurd situation where there's more gas under NSW than in Qatar, yet the locals can't have any of it!
Honestly, NSW just goes to show what powerful branding can do for you.
There's zero reason why it remains the biggest state in the nation, but that gorgeous harbour continues to pull them in.
It is the worst run state in the nation (by govts of all persuasions) and it has been for almost 20 years!
Get in touch with reality.
