I had to endure a 10 minute rant from Justine Elliot this morning on my drive to work (i missed the start of the interview). She was huffing and puffing about a 12,000 signature petition that the Northern Rivers residents want a CSG Free zone enforced by the State Government. She was very passionate about it and her view was black and white "you are either against CSG or you are for the Gas Companies". As I was driving along and listening to her hatred of various politicians who disagreed with her views it became evident that the scare mongering broth boiled up by this sadistic witch would be casting a spell over the easily influenced. Unfortunately there are too many of these 'easily influenced' in the Northern Rivers. She made particular referrence to DTE's PEL 445 license which she "wants DTE to hand back". It shows that there is still more to do to inform the public that CSG is not the end of the world as we know but a neccessary step forward in a modern environmentally conscious world.

I do have the concern that Santos will get the go ahead in the Pilliga but the rest may have to wait awhile.

Eventually common sense will prevail.
