The big freeze is pushing up gas prices and reminds everyone that electricity can be unreliable as lines are exposed to ice storms. Gas works in the very cold (provided you don't rely on electric fans and electric starters).

Mainly Canada and US at present but EU and UK need to get their act together too to secure long term supply at best rates possible for them. US gets most of its energy from the US thanks to new (unconventional) gas -so too could the UK.
