Agreed @justchilln5. The IRA is designed to distort the free market too. That is, there can be an oversupply in China and still a large undersupply in the North America, and it'll still be very worthwhile for US battery makers to secure US materials and components.

@Normandy7 the link is set to private. There's clearly good reason that Ford are partnering on IP with CATL though.

@Burty85 damn solid hey. I think you recently posted about the defense and/or rural microgrids too. Look at those dots.

Still can't see the SP doing too much until DoE loans and big offtake are announced. I can see that it is possible those announcements will see a gap up and sustained gains though, with a glimmer of confidence returning to some sectors now.

If the first big tier-1 offtake is with Tesla (which I doubt, but wouldn't rule out) then it's a different story obviously.
