When I saw this ann yesterday, I thought one thing:
Silicon
Cracking the code, using quantum machine learning.
IMO, this has nothing to do with determining battery life, as they already do that quite well.
Dr. Burns said, "strengthening our competitive edge..." and I don't think he's referring to stuff they already do.
