How many companies have you seen Elon purchasing in relation to helping Tesla with their hardware? He is more interesting in helping companies within the Ai realm (hardware), and would much rather have in-house workers for Tesla. Not saying it won’t happen, but very unlikely and also Cybertruck accounts for a very small portion of Tesla’s sales.
On a battery related matter, if you’re talking about investing into one which Elon have no choice to put down his money, it is mining the resources needed to develop the hardware, in which there is one company upon many on the ASX that also starts with ‘T’ that is their sole purpose. Only time will tell, which of the two will prevail.
