I disagree that US EV and ESS growth is underwhelming, year on year growth is healthy as the industry matures, eg what would happen if they jumped to 30% all sales = charging infrastructure, battery recycling, manufacturing, nothings ready at that volume.
The problem is, like with Steel & Solar, China are subsidising manufacturing and building out far greater capacity than their needs. Economic coercion from a superpower (Second largest global economy that still argues it’s a developing nation), they stifle international manufacturing in critical industries . The 301 Tariffs should cover all battery materials from China & create a fairer playing field.
